it's time for a longggggg update about wad's been going on. (:
first, an advance bday celebration with hongye, yixia, jansen, changtat, weijian, kimyong, and partially joel. we went to everything with fries at holland.. i know it was meant to be a celebration for me. i'm really happy to have these friends that would celebrate my birthday with me and not to mention, ignoring all the awkwardness.. i like the blue bubble bottle! heehee each hongye, and yixia own one too! haha the cake was really nice and yummy cuz its a heart shape cake. i know i've seen it at the cake shop and its call sweetheart. haha and we had a hard time trying to extinguish the (inextinguishable) candles! we had ashes all over the cake and each other lah! omg! but it was fun despite the long queue.. THANKS GUYS! *hearts*
080811, WENT USS FOR AN ADVANCE BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION WITH HONGYE AND CALLY! ZHAOYING, U WERE SUPPOSED TO COME TOO!
anyways, i had a whole lot of fun! the mascots were cute! thank you hongye for introducing me to take individuals shots with mascots.. i didn know it was this fun and cool.. the mascots are super friendly and interactive! :D haha.. we had some cam whore moments. haha damn lame.. overall, i had a lot of fun! :D best birthday celebration ever.. even though its without a cake.. but im still happy and thankful(: thanks cally and hongyeeeee! *hearts*
next, national day parade, which was almost a month ago.. well, it's also the day i turned nineteen.. well, overall there were things that made me real happy and content but also things that were getting on my nerves.. okiie, started the day: happy. read the cards i received in advance from hongyeeee, wei jian, kimyong, jansen, joel, and yixiaaaa.. really appreciate the cards and wad's written inside.. (: then i opened my present from weijie and ziwei. its a blue(turqoise) carebear called bedtime bear.. sooo sweet lah! got to drive myself to the waiting point at kallang.. was hoping abner or at least someone to wish me happy birthday.. or even to see gerlyn as the first person to wish me but i was greeted with disappointment.. she told me she wasnt coming. no one too initiative except aunt evelyn who would talk to me. whatever that came thereafter didn feel like a surprise anymore. it was more of prolong pain and agony.. i feel that at least. that instant i was hoping weiren or a friend would msg and talk to me.. or i'd call up someone to cheer me up, but ultimately i did. i just sat there alone thinking, 'why am i here? i could have been enjoying myself out there. self-comforting was a failure for me. well, i almostcried when gerlyn and the rest came with the card and present. but then again, the reason for the tears was a way of saying, "wad took u soo long? i dun need planned surprises, all i need was company but u guys weren't here.." yupp, then had rehearsal before going back to the holding area.. then gerlyn signed the lyrics for the song count on me by bruno mars. i was touched. it was smth i wasn expecting. (: then i went over to girl guides area. as usual they has celebrations, it was much more lively there. thoughtful junie made me bday present.. it was simple and lovely.. its this kind of simple pleasures in life that makes my day.. not elaborated kind.. anyways being the contingent i was in, its pretty much boring.. they didn even cut cake that was sponsored and given to each contingent. everybody just didn care, doing own things like wad the.. its a disappointment. parade was good. im happy. city march: i only have one word: DISGRACEFUL. the fireworks display were amazing.. i hope my wishes would come true. (: on the way home, i cried in the car. not because ndp was over, but cuz im not ready for sch and its coming my way.. im scared.. thankfully, the day wasnt over. i still got to go on fb to reply to the birthday wishes. and talk to HADI. he sent me the songs he composed saying it was my bday present. had a pretty long chat with him about my day and how gerlyn got mad at me for not appreciating her efforts, he managed to put the smile back on my face before the clock striked 12. i ended my day happy again. THANK YOU HADI.^^
then on 10 aug, mum, day, & jasper came over to my room in pgp for a massive clean up beforemy moving in on the next day. omg, i rmb i dread having to move in cuz of the feeling of being in a foreign environment (in fact, im alr here for almost a month and typing this post). after cleaning up, i decided to make more photo boards so make the 'new room' more homely in a sense. met up with gerlyn cuz she decided to accompany me. it was also my chinese bday. so we went city hall, then back to grandma's and then home before going back to pgp to drop more things in the room and also sent gerlyn home. mum and dad told me smth, that i didn take it to heart. (when more ppl mentioned similar points, i finally see things differently.)
11aug, sch's started.. not feeling very comfortable in the environment.. the feeling of coming back to the room alone is terrible too. just remember that i'm feeling very very homesick.. :(
sch gets better by the day, living on campus gets better too. although not these days.. haven't been able to sleep properly.. :/ sigh.. i wanna have a good rest.. :(
